TSUKINOMIYA is RC 3floor house for 4person family in Saitama. We planned the whole second floor as Living room and 3rd floor void part as an open room for two children. We tried this design in pursuit of rationality of planning and structure and construction method. The outer wall and floor slab are made by RC and structural support pillars are made by 60mm steel square pipes, such as forgetting that it is a structure. In nature, in inner space of the building, all the materials such as main structure,ancillary structural material, fixtures, furniture and finish texture form the space together, therefore we designed interior space treating all these various elements equally “the same thing”.
